Acceptable Use Policy

Acceptable Use Policy

How everyone must use Taska, operated by Taska Connect Ltd. This policy applies to all customers, Taskers and visitors, and forms part of our Terms & Conditions. Last updated October 2026.

1. Fraud and scams

  • No fake tasks, fake offers or bait listings designed to collect money, personal data or account access.
  • No phishing, impersonating Taska staff, or asking anyone for passwords, PINs, OTP codes, BVN or card details.
  • No chargeback abuse, stolen payment methods, money laundering or manipulating reviews, ratings or fees.

2. Harassment and abuse

  • No threats, intimidation, bullying, stalking, hate speech or discrimination based on ethnicity, religion, gender, disability or any other protected characteristic.
  • No sexual harassment, unwanted advances or explicit content.
  • No doxxing or sharing other people's private information or images without consent.

3. Illegal activities

  • Taska may only be used for lawful purposes under the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and wherever you are located.
  • No tasks involving controlled substances, weapons, stolen goods, counterfeit items, gambling, debt collection by intimidation or work requiring a licence you do not hold.

4. Fake and duplicate accounts

  • One person, one account. You must use your real name and accurate identity details.
  • No creating accounts for someone else, buying or selling accounts, or opening new accounts to avoid a suspension or ban.
  • No automated sign-ups, bots or scraping.

5. Prohibited listings

  • Adult or sexual services, escort work, or anything exploiting minors.
  • Academic dishonesty, such as sitting exams or writing assessed work for someone else.
  • Tasks that are dangerous, deceptive, discriminatory or that breach someone else's intellectual property.
  • Listings that are really adverts, recruitment for other platforms, or pyramid and investment schemes.

6. Sharing contact details to bypass Taska

  • Do not share phone numbers, email addresses, WhatsApp, Telegram, social media handles or other personal contact details in tasks, offers, questions, messages, profiles or reviews.
  • Keep all communication in Taska's in-app messaging until a task is hired, so we can protect both sides and help if something goes wrong.

7. Off-platform payments

  • All payments for tasks found on Taska must go through Taska's secure checkout and escrow.
  • Do not ask for, offer or accept cash, bank transfers or other payments outside Taska for work arranged on Taska.
  • Off-platform payments are not protected: they void Taska cover, refunds and dispute support.

8. Enforcement

Depending on how serious the breach is, and whether it has happened before, Taska may take one or more of these steps:

  • Removing or hiding content, tasks, offers, messages or reviews.
  • A formal warning on your account.
  • Temporarily restricting features such as posting, offering, messaging or withdrawals.
  • Holding funds in escrow or your wallet while we investigate.
  • Suspending or permanently closing the account, and blocking linked accounts.
  • Reporting serious matters, such as fraud or threats to safety, to law enforcement or relevant authorities.

Where we can, we tell you what action was taken and why. If you believe a decision was wrong, you can appeal by contacting support within 14 days.

9. Reporting a violation

  1. Use the Report option on the person's profile, the task or the message, or fill in our Report a problem form.
  2. Describe what happened and include screenshots, task links or references where possible.
  3. Our team reviews reports, normally within 24 hours, and may contact you for more detail. Reports are handled confidentially.
  4. If anyone is in immediate danger, contact the police or emergency services first, then tell us.

Knowingly making false reports is itself a breach of this policy.
