Taska Protection & Safety

🛡️ Taska Protection & Safety

Protection is conditional. Eligible tasks may qualify for protection or coverage subject to applicable eligibility requirements, policy terms, conditions, limits, exclusions, and excesses.

Insurance: Not ActiveDefault configuration

If a Tasker is legally responsible for injury to a Customer, another person, or accidental damage to property while performing an eligible task, available Taska protection processes and, where an active applicable insurance policy exists, insurance may potentially assist with responding to the incident.

  • The Tasker remains primarily responsible for their actions and work.
  • Taska does not automatically guarantee coverage for every incident or loss.
  • Protection depends on eligibility requirements — only eligible tasks and incidents may qualify.
  • Where insurance is active, coverage remains subject to policy terms, conditions, limits, exclusions and excess.
  • Final claim decisions are made according to the applicable claims process and insurance policy.

⚠️ What happens if a Tasker gets injured while completing a task?

Taska's protection processes and third-party liability insurance, where applicable, may not cover personal injury suffered by the Tasker themselves.

Taska protection or liability insurance is not necessarily a replacement for:

  • Personal accident insurance
  • Workers' compensation
  • Income protection
  • Salary protection
  • Health insurance
  • Professional indemnity insurance
  • Business insurance

Taskers are responsible for obtaining any personal, professional, business, health, accident, or other insurance required for the services they provide.

Applicable liability protection may not cover:

  • ❌ Personal injury to the Tasker.
  • ❌ Damage to the Tasker's own property.
  • ❌ Damage to the Tasker's own equipment.
  • ❌ Damage to the Tasker's vehicle.

Unless specifically included in another applicable insurance product or policy.

Customer Property

Accidental damage to a Customer's property caused by a Tasker may potentially qualify for review where:

  • The Tasker is legally liable.
  • The task is eligible.
  • The incident meets protection requirements.
  • Where applicable, the incident is covered by an active insurance policy.

Tasker's Own Property

Damage to a Tasker's own tools, equipment, vehicle or personal belongings may not be covered by Taska's third-party liability protection or insurance.

  • Tools
  • Equipment
  • Vehicle
  • Personal belongings

Taskers should arrange appropriate insurance for their own property and business activities where necessary.
