Cancellation Policy
At Taska, we want every task to be completed safely, fairly and successfully. Cancelling tasks may affect other members and is recorded on your account. Learn more about our Cancellation Policy.
You're a Customer if you're looking to get tasks completed. You do this by posting tasks and accepting a Tasker's offer. Customers have important responsibilities before and after accepting an offer.
📝 Describe your task clearly
Accurately and comprehensively describe the task — what needs doing, special requirements, skills or qualifications, equipment, the location, preferred date and time, access information and any risks.
💬 Answer Tasker questions honestly
Accurately and honestly answer questions Taskers raise so they understand the full scope before you accept an offer. Communicate any changes through Taska.
📱 Stay responsive
Aim to respond to important messages from Taskers within 12 hours of receiving them — questions, schedule changes, access requirements, safety concerns and completion updates.
🤝 Only accept an offer when you are ready
Accept an offer only if you are ready, willing, financially prepared and available to complete the task with the Tasker. Accepting creates an agreement.
🏠 Be available and provide access
Be available at the agreed time where necessary, provide access, utilities and agreed materials, keep the location reasonably safe and flag access restrictions. Without these the Tasker may be unable to complete the task.
🛡️ Act according to Taska Community Guidelines
Follow Taska's Community Guidelines, Terms, safety policies, payment rules and cancellation policy. Treat every member with respect, honesty and fairness.
Customers must provide accurate information. Misleading, incomplete or significantly changed task requirements may affect the Tasker's ability to complete the task.
Taska understands circumstances can change, but cancellations may affect members who have committed their time and availability. Cancel tasks only when genuinely necessary. Every cancellation asks for a reason and is recorded against the Task ID and both User IDs.
🟢 Before accepting a Tasker
If no offer has been accepted, the Customer may cancel the task without affecting an active Task Agreement, subject to Taska's platform rules.
🟡 After accepting a Tasker
Cancelling may affect the Tasker because they may have reserved time, prepared equipment or declined other work. A cancellation reason is required and both members are notified in-app, by email and by phone notification where enabled.
🔴 Repeated or unfair cancellations
Repeated, suspicious or harmful cancellations may result in a warning, temporary restrictions, reduced privileges, suspension or, in serious cases, permanent closure. Nothing is applied automatically — authorised Taska administrators review the history and circumstances first.
