Draft for review. This document was prepared as a working draft with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 and NDPC guidance in mind. It must be reviewed and approved by a qualified Nigerian lawyer or data protection professional before Taska launches publicly.
The rules
Short, simple, and they matter.
- Never share your password with anyone — Taska staff will never ask for it.
- Never share your NIN with another user. We never ask for it in chat.
- Never send money to someone claiming to be from Taska. Pay only through the app.
- Be suspicious of any job that asks you to pay a fee to get work.
- Keep chat and payment inside Taska — outside it there is no escrow, no record and no cover.
- Meet in a public place first where you can, and tell someone where you are going.
- Report harassment, threats or anything that makes you uncomfortable — we take it seriously.
- Do not create fake accounts or pretend to be another person.
- Do not post fake or misleading task listings.
If something goes wrong
Use Report a problem from any profile, task or chat. You can track the status of your report in Settings → Privacy & Security. In an emergency, contact the Nigeria Police on 112 first, then tell us.
What we do on our side
We verify identity, hold payments in escrow, monitor for suspicious sign-ins and fraud patterns, and review every report a person files. Accounts that put others at risk are suspended.
